What Are You Listening To?
from my library (vinyl)

[Image: 220px-Patsy_Cline_-_The_Patsy_Cline_Story_1963.jpg]

Original release was 1963, a short four months after her early death in a plane crash on the way to a benefit
concert for a friend. My copy is a 1977 re-issue. When seeing 24 tracks on here, I was thinking it might be a
little deep to end up loving it. Not so. Love half of the tracks here and liking the rest. Not a bad track here.
Weakest would be the Hank Williams Your Cheatin' Heart cover. Nobody can equal Hanks for me. Best is the classic I
Fall To Pieces, but there were many contenders for the honor. Next listen, it could be another. A lot can happen in
seven years. That's about how long it takes to listen to my collection. All of Patsy's hits are on here plus a lot
that were not. That doesn't mean there is filler here. Not really familiar with her studio albums, so I can't say
that the tracks here that were not hits are her best, but the entire album is an excellent selection.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - Your Cheatin' Heart

Best Track - I Fall To Pieces

I fall to pieces
Each time I see you again
I fall to pieces
How can I be just your friend

You want me to act like we've never kissed
You want me to forget, pretend we've never met
And I've tried and I've tried but I haven't yet
You walk by, and I fall to pieces

I fall to pieces
Each time someone speaks your name
I fall to pieces
Time only adds to the flame

You tell me to find someone else to love
Someone who'll love me, too, the way you used to do
But each time I go out with someone new
You walk by and I fall to pieces

(I fall to pieces)
Each time someone speaks your name
(I fall to pieces)
Time only adds to the flame

You tell me to find someone else to love
Someone who'll love me too, the way you used to do
But each time I go out with someone new
You walk by and I fall to pieces

Hnnnngg- Just happened upon a fantastic song that came out of South Africa... I'm planning on getting the album- I'll let you guys know what I think of the whole thing, but to whet your appetite here's the song: http://grooveshark.com/#/s/Way+Back+Fift...PlK9?src=5

It's called Way Back Fifties and it's by The Drive on their album "Jazz Offerings from South Africa". It's a compilation, so I'm not sure if the album will belong in this thread- but I suppose the song does. Enjoy Smile

Would you say that's Jazz? I feel like it's more World than Jazz.... Maybe.... World-Jazz.... My new favorite genre...

That would actually be sick........ The pedals are on the celling and the guitarists have to control it with pushing the buttons with their noses. I'd pay to see that.
