In your opinion, what is the heaviest song ever?
#1
And by heavy, I mean HEAVY. I haves always used The Scorpion's "China White" off Blackout as a good example of heavy. Heaven and Hell's "Bible Black" is a pretty good example as well.
What I do not mean is loudest, fastest or hardest... we want heavy here.

Two very good examples, gater. When I think of "heavy" Black Sabbath's Iron Man crosses my mind.

One of the originals! BTW, I always liked that Steve Miller cover.

The first " heavy " one for me was Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild.

As far as The Heaviest I'd have to go with Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love ( especially the longer 20 minute plus live version !!!! ).

Even heavier than hard rock of course are the numerous great metal bands !

Thought of couple more....
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly (live)
Slow Ride by Foghat (the extended version)

The Joker is my kid's nickname for me.

I thought of early Sabbath, also.

For me it's maybe the eponymous Black Sabbath track.

Good choice, and a great live act. Saw them a few times in my K-Rock years.

After much pondering. Black Sabbath - with the bell & rain then the doom hook from Tony Iommi. The heaviest for me too. Ozzy pleading more than singing. Bass in overdrive. The drums plodding and drawn out (sounds like they were recorded in a cavern). Ahhhh, yep that's my definition of heavy.
