This was a companion book to first one covering up through his inauguration. Don't have that first one but I would like to. Yet this one is probably better as it covers his presidency up to his death. I have read Jefferson bios before and had tremendous respect for the man. This one makes that respect even more. A lot of it is reprinting of his letters both from and to correspondents. He made copies of everything he wrote. Left over 40000 letters on his death. If we all could only speak and write this eloquently. Much more of a genius than that Einstein fellow. No crises arose during his 2 terms, so he got off pretty easy on issues of the day. The only thing close would be trying to stay out of the French/England duel that would consume much of those years. He just missed the 1812 war. Tried to stay out of politics once he was out of office, although his successor would seek his advice. Just a great man.

Ditto me!
Stephen King - He's my absolute favorite fictional author. Most recently working on Duma Key.
Also adore the Sergei Lukyanenko's "Watch" tetralogy.
I read a lot of poetry, classical lit stuff, love philosophy, spirituality. Also read a lot of medical writings. Musically themed as often as possible â of course. I don't have the time I used to, to read; was voracious until about 10 years ago. Reading your posts here has reminded me that I need to make this a priority again!

I liked 'The Stand' but not enough to go to the next novel.

Mike Oldfield - The Making of Tubular Bells - quite interesting and the studio was amazingly primitive. He had to put this thing together when no-one else was using the studio which meant a lot of it was done at night.
