A band that does not seem to ever get mentioned?? I think 'Takin it to the Streets' is a masterpiece. Gets loads of spins at home.
Anyone here ever listen to the Doobies?

Hey Jerome man !
I do not like Michael McDonald's voice.

not a huge Doobies fan but they had some decent albums
wouldn't say great, but certainly no bad ones. just did Minute By Minute a week or so ago
IMO I loved Doobies.. pre McDonald and post McDonald. World Gone Crazy (2010) was their most recent release with same lineup as The Doobie Brothers,Toulouse Street and The Captain and Me,etc... before McDonald came aboard for awhile. Were talking two different groups here IMO, Simmons/Johnston and McDonald/Johnston...their sound changed when McDonald came in.
Yes unfortunately Steely Dan seems to be in the distant past ! Loved "Reelin In The Years " among numerous others.

Steely Dan are touring here at the end of the year on a double bill with Steve Winwood...its a big temptation to go as Winwood has guarenteed to do a 'hits' show including his hits with Traffic and Spencer Davis Group, i guess before i make up my mind to go or not the show will be sold out and i wont have to make a decision!!
