Opeth Blackwater Park

Just bought this album recently. First Opeth album have ever bought.

and OMG! Opeth are amazing. It was bliss from start to finish

Goth Metal Raver,

Opeth is one of my all time favorites and Blackwater Park is also the first CD I listened to ! Now I have quite an OPETH collection. Mikael Akerfeldt is a musical genius in my humble estimation. He combines some death growls as well as 'straight singing" with beautiful melodies, classical, folk, jazz and progressive rock. Check out the Damnation CD which is folk metal at its' best.

Watershed has as its' intro a song called - Coil, which is sung as a duo with a female singer(he heard her sing at a party). This song is absolutely gorgeous and stays with you for quite awhile.

Ghost Reveries, Live at Royal Albert Hall, Still Life etc. they are all great ! Opeth is never boring and Akerfeldt has publically stated that he always strives for something fresh and new with each album release. I can't wait for their upcoming release - Heritage !
