I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music

I'm from Warrington, in the North West of England. For those who don't know the UK, it's about half way between Liverpool and Manchester.

Interesting fact: one of the contemporary suspects in the Jack the Ripper murders is - supposedly - buried here (well, within the Borough in a village called Lymm).

Hastings is near where the great battle of 1066 took place.

Well I think its time I inject some Canadian flair into the thread, dont ya think?

I am from Southern Alberta, Canada. A small city of about 13,500 people located just under 2 hours from Calgary, Alberta .. which is home to the Calgary Stampede .. "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" .. which is and "invitation only" event open to the top professional cowboys in the world. It is the richest professoinal rodeo with award money topping 1.6 million dollars!

Calgary, AB Canada

Uh, someone already used the Stampede. Calgary hosted the 1988 winter olympics and people still act like it was the greatest thing to ever happen to the city.

The way you have put it almost makes it look like you live in the channel tunnel. Hhhmmm, with all the asylum seekers crossing through it, anything is possible.
