I'm from Warrington, in the North West of England. For those who don't know the UK, it's about half way between Liverpool and Manchester.
Interesting fact: one of the contemporary suspects in the Jack the Ripper murders is - supposedly - buried here (well, within the Borough in a village called Lymm).

The Channel Tunnel (UK's cross-channel rail link to Le France) heads underground about half a mile away from where I live.

I am from Southern Alberta, Canada. A small city of about 13,500 people located just under 2 hours from Calgary, Alberta .. which is home to the Calgary Stampede .. "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" .. which is and "invitation only" event open to the top professional cowboys in the world. It is the richest professoinal rodeo with award money topping 1.6 million dollars!

Uh, someone already used the Stampede. Calgary hosted the 1988 winter olympics and people still act like it was the greatest thing to ever happen to the city.
