Possesses the dubious distinction of maybe being the first Rock double album.
Recorded with The Hawks - who would later see success in their own right as The Band -this 1966 album took the newly electric Dylan to new heights, whilst simultaneously exploring other musical genres. Rammed to the gills with fine Dylan songs, there's a liberated, celebratory feel to much of this music.
I'd argue that Dylan never reached these artistic achievements again, although fans of Blood on The Tracks would no doubt have something to say about that.
