from my library (vinyl)
![]() This is their debut. I think I've posted their 2nd and 3rd and this will add to the mediocrity. Not terrible but not real good either. But they have yet to hit their peak. I thought I liked the early synth/pop stuff better than I have lately. I do believe your taste changes as you mellow. We all mellow whether we like to admit or not. I'm about as mellow as you can get. In fact, they call me mellow yellow, quite rightly. Where was I? Hutchence vocals are ok here. Couldn't find any great tracks, and 3 that I wouldn't want to hear again. One of these mornings I'm going to pull a really good INXS album out of a box. At least I hope so. This one made it to #165 on the U.S. charts. I LIKE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - Body Language Best Track - Wishy Washy I got a place with a view You can see the cars As they travel down the freeway To clubs and bars There's a woman downstairs With matt-grey hair An' she smiles when she tells me There's no room for me here They've got it in the city They've got it in the country But here in the suburbs It's all so wishy-washy It's all so wishy-washy I got another place This time with a fireplace An' a woman can come around Write poetry and feel safe I said it's good for me now But I'm not being fed I said it's good for me now But I'm not being fed 1) On A Bus - ** 2) Doctor - ** 3) Just Keep Walking - ** live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCA2bORvzxA 4) Learning To Smile - ** 5) Jumping - * 6) In Vain - ** live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jauVtgqgxGI 7) Roller Skating - * live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvkmYS6K7P4 8) Body Language - * 9) Newsreel Babies - ** 10) Wishy Washy - ** live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5_TKlb_Dho 3's - 0 2's - 7 1's - 3 Grade - 1.7

i started reading your list and thought 'this guys obsessed with Ozzy!', but as i read a little further you surprised me in a nice way, hey, theres nothing wrong with Taylor Swift, i think Music Head and myself have had this discussion in 'currently watching', she is good, but our jury is out as to how good she is, Green Day,nothing wrong with them either...just dont call them 'punk' please, theyre not 'punk' if you want real punk try 'sex pistols' 'clash' 'ramones' 'sham 69' etc, they are an 'indi' band, Jacksons/jackson 5- its good seeing someone of your age listening to a group 30yrs older than you are and 'hit the road jack' also, not sure what version youre listening to as there have been numerous covers of this song, but again, keep on exploring the 'older' music, your knoweledge will only improve with the more you listen to.
if you like Jackson 5, try exploring other music from the Motown label of the 60s-70s, try Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye,Supremes for starters, if you like 'hit the road jack' try exploring some 'Ray Charles' music and take it from there. if you dont have any of the above artists try youtube, you'll get links to other artists from there. i remember when i was your age (18) and listening to a lot of this stuff for the first time!!man, you have the whole music world at the touch of your fingers nowadays, so go for it! its all free to listen to on youtube, we had to buy something to learn about it back in the day!
