Reading the replies on the favourite pop music thread, it appears a trend is starting to show. Many prefere the 80's pop scene than todays. Me being one of them.
So I would like to extend on this subject and discuss the 80's. What are your pet hates, and the best of 80's groups or artists?
With Regards...

Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Stock Aiken and Waterman?
I hated 80s pop music!
(except "You Spin Me Round" by Dead or Alive - that was good)

Talk about knocking a man's thread topic. Took me an entire few seconds to think up this discussion... :

:
But at least there was 1 track from the 80's you liked. :coffee:

80's pop huh?
Well I have to be honest and say I am more an 80's rock chick, then pop ..BUT ..there were a couple I didnt mind:
Phil Collins and Hall & Oats for a couple of examples.
What I didn't like?
Well, that list is a tad long and really I dont want to say I HATED any of it, but if pressed I'd have to say I truly DID NOT GET that whole Brit techno-pop sound.

mug:
Now I shall extend an olive branch to all the Brits here on the board. :

Oh wow - I didn't mean to hurt feelings! They should have a 'half-joking and flippant' font
.......mmm......I also like 'Never Gonna Give you up' by Rick Astley - there you go - I hope my humiliation of admitting this will do for an apology
Also - surely it's a good thing that you can inspire a thread that provokes a strong response (maybe!)

Okay, the spam filters still aren't working. I thought every new member has to be personally approved by an administrator? Are real live people applying and then spamming? Or are bots still getting through (the new system isn't working)?

These are members that applied for membership prior to the changes. The manual checks should stop the majority (touch wood). We just need to keep banning the old ones, to prevent access. Can't be that many left. :hand:
