Hi there
If anyone feels like taking the time, please have a listen to the tracks at
http://www.auralscapes.com.
Would appreciate any candid feedabck - good or bad. Would also be curious as to what genre you think this slots into. I have absolutlely no idea but it would be fun to hear what forum members think it most closely resembles. And if you think it's really lousy please say so - I will not be offended. By the way the website is a bit higgledy piggledy and really in permanent 'construction' phase.
Thx
Jerome

Just realised (via a friend of mine in the states) that people were not able to access half the audio pages on the site because a Flash-generated menu was not appearing correctly. Have put up a new menu. Hope it helps!

Hey Jerome, the sound still doesn't work for me. Beautiful looking site and the menu works, but no sound

Hi Penny
Thx for letting me know - can't figure out why the embedded sound or the streaming sound won't work.

Oh and of course - once I've made a zillion dollars with this you can publish your autobiography and tell everyone that you knew me first (ha ha) - just kidding!

Not that anyone's really interested, but I have put a new media player on the site. (Flash-based). Those of you (Pennywill) who could not access the material might be able to do so now. If not, I give up!

Hi Jerome firstly well done on a fantastic web site, very creative !!!
on the music side of things i have listened to the samples you have supplied
there is no doubt in the quality of the music such a varied array of sounds styles i really enjoyed listening
I would say that it may appeal to a certain market and listener i would have no problem listening though, if thats the direction you are heading
i think you hav a good quality product and can't see why it would not sell (in my humble opinion)
thanks for sharing
Thomas

Thx for taking the time to listen Thomas. It still needs to be mixed properly and there are some glaring mistakes but it all takes time and the day job keeps me pretty busy. Once I'm done I will send you a link to download the albums as they are completed. For free! Your reward for taking the time to be bothered to listen. Spent thousands & thousands to date but I'm not in it for the money - just a pet project.
As for the site - tried many packages but found WebPlusX4 the easiest to use. And it's quite versatile too. Want to keep it simple but effective.

Listening to your material. Reminds me a lot of Big Country - a group I really like. Just a suggestion which you can ignore if you like but I think some ambient synths/keyboards in the background would lift some of the tracks. Good vocals, good phrasing too. 'Stuck in the Motion' has a really good hook. That's the one to push. It has a nice 'loose' feel and great guitar bits.

Thank you and i take the comparrison to big country as a compliment as Stewart Adamson was one of my personal fav musicians
The suggestion is a valid point and through time we will be adding keys to the tracks at the moment we don't have bass or keys and we really want to try and be able to play what we record live at least the punter knows what they are getting
thanks for the feedback much appreciated
