This release from 1997 shows what can happen when a record company give a talented young band free rein to record whatever they want.

This would almost be Progressive Rock for the 21st century if

a) It shared any themes with Prog

&

b) It was made in the 21st century

Imaginative, and consistently strong music allied to their customarily angsty lyrics caught the mood of the times, and it sold by the shedload.

Memorable tunes side by side with weird Electronica.

I saw Radiohead open for R.E.M. in 1995. They were awful and I never really gave them a chance after that. Maybe I will listen to the album now and give it a chance.

"OK Computer" is a pretty good album, but I think it's really overrated

It took me a few listens but in the end I finally got it and have loved OK Computer ever since ! Sometimes you have to give an album a fair chance as it may not please you at first listen.

Radiohead certainly fit in the slow burn category.

I don't think any of their albums have been instant hits for me.
