Volcano
#1
Thank heaven's I'm not trying to do some gigging in Europe these days. Air traffic must be a nightmare! My sister lives in London, and my parents in Spain, so I get lots of reports...perhaps they were afraid I would visit and set off a Volcano.

Hey.....here in Europe we are cut off from an air point of view and will be for a few more days!Cool

John Clese had to travel from Brussels to Northern Europe and had to pay 3700 Euro for a taxi as there were no planes........................go to be famous!
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Can't the planes just fly lower than the dust cloud. They say the dust is pretty high up and not falling to earth. In London today, the weather has been lovely with not a single cloud in sight and certainly no signs of dust. Also no jet streams, or aeroplane noises. Most unusual.

♫ Some...where, over the dust clouds ♫
♫ Way... up... high ♫

Somewhere, over the dust clouds
Way up high
Iceland, I never heard of
The thought of it leaves me dry

Somewhere, under the dust clouds
Skies are gray
And the flight that you dreamed to take
Never came your way

Someday you'll wish upon the ash
And hope that they return the cash
You paid them
Where molten lava melts the folks
Who dared to build on all their hopes
That's where you'll find them

Somewhere over the dust clouds
Nothing flies
You wonder why can't we fly there
Why tell me why can't I

If glass particles fly up there
Above the dust clouds
Shall we dare

Sorry to come over as a grumpy newby but I can't quite understand your sentiments, after all we want to be safe in our travelling and if they deem it UNSAFE to fly why should we argue?
The other point about flying lower than the dust cloud is, apparently it takes far too much fuel resulting in higher costs. But I'm sure you bods allready know that!
