Hello, I'm Rebecka Webre. I'm 29 years old and a single mother raising my three year old son alone. I like a little bit of classical music as well as the pop genre. My son, Kyle, likes lullabies whenever I play it on the CD player, because he could easily sleep soundly without any tantrums. I generally like to make friends over the net, so I'd like to start with forums of subjects that I personally like. I understand that I need to be able to make more than 10 posts and to be a member for at least 7 days, to be a full member. Since I'm starting my probationary period today, will you help me out in learning the ropes here?
I'll be glad to hear from anyone. Thank you.

Hey Rebeckawebre, I for one will be happy to assist in any way I can. I have recently become a father to a baby girl called Amelia who enjoys listening to such music from Queen, and Pink Floyd. Just like her father.
Any favourites in Classical music?

Yes, I like particulary Beethoven's Fur Elise and Brahms' Lullaby for my son. Congratulations on your baby girl, Amelia! That's certainly great news, like father like daughter.
Well, for me sometimes I wish my son would never grow up, he's so adorable now that he's still young. Aside from music, what else do you like?

I can understand why you wouldn't want your son to grow up. Amelia has gone past the newborn stage, and now is very contented in herself and a real pleasure to have around. Although the teething is just starting with her. Thank god for Sony dynamic stereo headphones and loud volume.
Beethoven's Fur Elise is a lovely piece of music. Bet your son would enjoy listening to Le carnival by Saint Saens. (The Carnival of the Animals).
What else do I like? I come on the web whenever I can, like cars and build models in the past time. Since having a baby though, most of that past times have been cut in half. Also work full time which takes me all over London. What about yourself?

Oh, I just like writing articles a lot. From past experiences to the things I have learned, I like to give lots of advice to people. I'm also a health conscious person, because recently I quit smoking. It's also bad for my son, so I decided to let my friends know that I have stopped smoking for good. I decided to start joining forums of my choice, like music specifically.
If I may ask, are you a smoker or non-smoker? You know, I have a friend who's a good singer until she started smoking and her "singing voice" was affected, I'm not sure why that happened, so I'm kind of concerned about her.

No I don't smoke. Used to smoke when I was younger, Then again, I used to smoke things that I shouldn't make public. Whoops.
I hear smoking can affect a voice, might be something to do with the lungs getting blocked up. I reckon for women it is worse, as I have heard a bluesy style guy sing brilliant with a smokers voice. He talked about how smoking makes his voice deeper, and more dramatic sounding. Although I wouldn't try this at home anyone.
Make sure to check out some of the groups

Hi Rebecka, & welcome from me.
I'm an unrepentant smoker, but realise I'll need to stop before too much longer...
Hope you enjoy the site.
