[FONT=&quot]This is the fifth album by this outfit , They formed in 1995 and were originally called , Shabütie

Good cover art , I like that a lot.

[FONT=&quot]A nice start with the track “ One” . However, we get into heavier things as we go on….”The Broken” : here we have the band in full flight . “Guns of Summer” follows still a full throttled approach , rushing rhythms and quick vocals accompanied by some good work began to get me interested. All the time I kept thinking of Alice Cooper or Kiss.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I would not describe this album as “Heavy Metal “, but there is sure a luster of that kind of thing about it. “Here We Are Juggernaut” continues the track listing and this seems to have some of the atmosphere of stadium rock and grandeur about it. I could imagine great stadiums of fans rocking to this with an enthusiastic front man whipping them up into a frenzy at this point.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]“Far” is easier on the ear and lyrics become a more prominent feature. The guitar and drum base for this song , works well and I found this an entertaining track.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The “Shattered Symphony” is thrashed along at a fair pace and has some symphonic grandeur to it. Interesting ending: reminiscent of the end of “Telstar” by the Tornados.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]“World Of Lines” is interesting but by the time I have got this far in the album , I am beginning to feel that this band lack the ability to change the style. All tracks so far race past one and leave one grasping at a few threads of the lyrics. [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Finally at “Made Out Of Nothing” there is some concession to a slightly different style, here a rock anthem approach is used, but it still does little to convince me that they have a wide repertoire of styles. [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]“Pearl Of The Stars” is good track, softer in style and lyrically more transparent. Nice guitar work and a genuine feel of a more gentle emotion ………….this appealed to me.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]“In The Flame Of Error “is in keeping with the rest of the album, not a bad track but the heavy approach is wearing me a bit.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]“When Skeletons Live” and “The Black Rainbow “ finish the album. The latter showing a quieter and darker side of things………………………………. [/FONT]

Obviously your link works, as it takes you to the album page, but the download button that you click there, doesn't, at least for me.

I tried several times, and will try again later.

Went into this and tried again and it worked for me again.

Thoughts occurred:

1)Is it the fact that I'm in Europe and You are in the USA and it can tell from the IP address?

2) Have you got a firewall issue do you think ?


When I do what you did I get the album page

Then when I click the download under the picture I get an car insurance page .....................halfway down there are three download buttons the first take you to the download which works................I don't get the AOL part

Nice review of this from you gryphon.

I guess I'll have to pass on this one. Looked around and can't find it anywhere. Found a couple of tracks, but I didn't listen to them, as I want the whole thing.

I saw this is not scheduled for release in the states till Apr 13th. Is it already out anywhere else? Just wondering if that has something to do with why I can't get it at the site you linked to.

Don't worry MH , I tried to find another link but I could not....I guess that for some reason beyond our control the link is not available to all................We live an learn , I picked that up as a recommendation from CP I think , it could be that it is pre-release and not available from many sources or I notice that there seems to be someone ( or some company or companies that are trying to shut down free down loads so maybe that is the problem...............but no need to worry , well do our best and if we fail at thimes we'll we'll just go on........

Aha..........I can listen to this one now, as it is on my preferred site this week, with no download.
Will do each track as I listen.

1) One - 1.5 - Instrumental, so not my thing, but I do like the spacey atmosphere under the phones

2) The Broken - 1.5 - now I see, prog rock, sorta Mars Voltaish. nothing new here

3) Guns Of Summer - 1.0 - still not gettin' it. too rapid

4) Here We Are Juggernaut - 2.0 - back up a bit. don't know what he's saying, but it sounds good

5) Far - 2.0 - best yet since they slowed it down a bit. like the various percussion used here

6) This Shattered Symphony - 1.5 - like the riff, but that's about it

7) World Of Lines - 1.0 - worst yet. couldn't even bang my head to this

8) Made Out Of Nothing (All That I Am) - 2.0 - now the best yet, with a catchy chorus and decipherable lyrics

9) Pearl Of The Stars - 2.5 - now we're cookin'. horns, strings, and love the buildup from verse to chorus.

10) In The Flame Of Error - 1.0 - all over the place. like they were trying to see how many tempos they could get in

11) When Skeletons Live - 1.5 - Rush sound is coming through loud and clear

12) The Black Rainbow - 2.0 - not bad once they get by the entry echo chamber vocals


With an average rating of 1.6, a no buy for me
