I am sure their previous stuff is good.. though now I am a bit skeptical to try them out..
If only someone strongly suggests something that could change my views.

As a very big fan of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, I can say this definitely is not one of their better albums. Their more recent albums lack the charm that their earlier work had and that earlier work is what made them big in the underground 90's community. However, it's still a big improvement on their 2008 release "My Bloody Underground" which is their worst album by far.
Fortunately I saw them a few weeks ago and they only played old material and it was a fantastic night, probably the live show I've ever been to. Not really a review, but just thought I'd give a brief comment on the album.

I'd have to say either "Give it Back" or "Take it from the Man!" would probably be the best places to start. They seem to be the albums that most fans enjoy the most and are definitely some of the more accessible ones. If you have the time, I definitely recommend you check them out.
I'd post some links on where to get them but can't until I get some more posts. They're not too hard to find anyway.
