Hi there! I'm Spanish. I've just found your forum. I'm a blues musician and I'd like to exchange music and musical views with the other forumites. I hope to be a regular. Cheers!

Welcome to MD! Do you play Spanish guitar ?Cool
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Hi Quique, & welcome to MD.

Are your tastes restricted to Blues mainly, or do you like others stuff ??

Hope you enjoy the site...

I thank you all for the welcome. Tiggi, I like any type of music as long as it's "good" (blues, jazz, R&B, flamenco, chill-out, pop, younameit...). But so far I've only played blues with the several bands I've been with. I'm looking forward to tackling more challenging styles though. Cheers!

I love the blues, i don't know what it is but a good blues man can make a guitar talk in more ways than any shredder.

Have you ever heard Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam? if you haven't check them out. The latest album has it all.

who are some of the rising stars over there in Europe?

Jardine, thanks for your post. There aren't "rising stars" as far as blues is concerned over here (not since Eric Clapton, John Mayall and Fleetwood Mac :biggrinSmile Seriously, there are many followers but it's not a mainstream type of music. Unfortunately, my American friends tell me that the situation for the blues in the U.S. is even worse!

Thanks for your recommendations. I'm gonna take a look right now! Cheers

If you're looking for challenging styles try some bulerias from Paco de Lucia if you've already tackled flamenco. Otherwise flamenco in general should be tough enough on your hands Tongue

Wait...I'm assuming you play the guitar ?
