Just a poll. And the definition of "Hardcore" might be subjective, but I've chosen the more obvious/popular bands.
Mine would have to be Cypres Hill.

Black Flag, hands down... Though if we're talking about post-hardcore... I'd have to say my favorite is The Dillenger Escape Plan. There's also a very artsy local hardcore band called This Hideous Strength that I love.

Yes that is certainly stretching the definition of hardcore punk!

I think of Cypress Hill as a rap group. They have recently moved in a rap-rock direction.
