I'm a bit of a novice concerning Metallica, but I like the Black Album so that gets my vote.

Never really understood why this album splits opinion so much.

It happens to be Sad But True that Nothing Else Matters to The God That Failed other than My Friend Of Misery and The Struggle Within that he faces as he beckons "Enter Sandman" with his Holier Than Thou attitude and he watches The Unforgiven and hears Clint say "Don't Tread On Me because Wherever I May Roam, you can be sure that it will be Through The Never for we will always be Of Wolf And Man".

It does? it's Load and Reload that get the biggest slating from most fans, I like the Black album but it gets marked down because Enter Sandman is an appalling song

It's a tough call between the first three albums. I don't like them much post ...And Justice For All. I went with Kill 'Em All but I could have picked any of the first three.
