a revisit
their six of nine, i own them all
titled "waiata" everywhere except Australia
the title means "dance" or "get together" in both Australian Aborigine and New Zealand Maori
a very good album
a couple of their trademark quirky songs, a ballad, a 40s sounding jazzy bluesy tune and some rock
also a couple of instrumentals in the mix too
not as good as "frenzy" or "true colours" but not too far behind them

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

IMAGINE DRAGONS  "night visions"  cd 2012

a revisit
from Nevada
debut of six, i own them all
not quite rock and not quite pop so 'alternative' is where they go
MH put me on to these guys back in the day
albums are always full of catchy tunes, some earworms too
consistently good material and one of my 'go to' bands of the last couple of decades
album scores 2.2 from me which means

a deliberate revisit
from Nevada
their sophomore album of six, i own them all
more developed than their debut album
not rock but more rock than their debut
solid album but Lynne doesnt like it

a revisit
Aussie alternative/art-pop artist
her nineth of ten studio albums, i own five
as the title suggests, songs inspired by a movie of the same name which was coincidently written by Sia
her most commercially, radio friendly collection of songs, its just straight forward pop
album scores 2.2 from me which means
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

jingle-jangle pop on here, hints of folk 
a really good album for a first up listen

OASIS  "standing ont he shoulders of giants"  cd 2000

a revisit
from the UK
their fourth of seven, i own them all
their third was really bad and this is pretty well on par with that one
like five of the ten tracks
best three are the opening track which is instrumental and the two Noel sings
album scores 1.5 which means

MENTAL AS ANYTHING  "get wet"  cd  1979

Aussie alt-pop/new wave band
debut album of thirteen, i own five
strange album thats a long way from their pop commercialism of "live it up" six years down the track
album is decent but i really have to be in the mood for it
on this occasion i wasnt and it only scored 1.7 but that still means
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

BLONDIE  "parrallel lines"  cd 1978

a revisit
their third of eleven, a twelfth due out later this year
from NYC
post-punk, new wave and a hint of disco on here
really solid album
lots to love and the rest i like

very good album but i prefer the one i played yesterday

from Seattle
debut of six, i only own this one
that was pretty bad even for novelty value
