US HOT 100 20.05.25 #32

TOP TEN:

10. Anxiety – Doechii (Down 1/10 weeks in chart)
9. Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan (Down 3/48 weeks in chart)
8. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (No change/68 weeks in chart)
7. Lose Control – Teddy Swims (No change/91 weeks in the chart/joint most weeks in the US chart ever)
6. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen (Up 4/15 weeks in chart)
5. Nokia – Drake (No change/13 weeks on the chart)
4. A Bar Song (Tipsy) – Shaboozey (No change/57 weeks in chart)
3. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (No change/39 weeks in chart)
2. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No change/14 weeks in chart)
1. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (No change/13 weeks No.1/25 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

100. Infinite Baths – Sleep Token (6.6/10)

91. Nope, You're Too Late; I Already Died – Wifiskeleton/I Wanna Be Jack O Lantern (3/10)

This track just felt so weird when listening to it… The vocals were hard to understand, either because of an accent or a bad way of singing, and everything had this same emo-indie-alternative low-pitched sound that sounds like something that would be on the singles tab on AOTY. Weird song; I'm surprised something like it charted.

86. You Had To Be There – Megan Moroney/Kenny Chesney (6.8/10)

Yeah, sure, it's American country music that doesn't separate itself from other songs the best, but the vocal chemistry between Megan and Kenny makes it a good song from a warm fire, and the magical lyrics about something good happening and them having to be there are brought up really well. It needs more flavour, but it certainly has strong points.

77. Provider – Sleep Token (5/10)

75. Gethsemane – Sleep Token (7.2/10)

74. Malboro Rojo – Fuerza Regida (3.5/10)

The Spanish/Mexican culture trumpets appearing in everything and sounding the exact same… give it a rest!

70. Past Self – Sleep Token (8.2/10)

66. Look To Windward – Sleep Token (5/10)

61. Even In Arcadia – Sleep Token (7.5/10)

These long alternative metal tracks charting is definitely a strange change for the chart, but it's not all entirely bad. From their new album, Sleep Token continues their digitally processed sound that sounds similar to the main singles. I interpret this song as being about death and loss, and I think the production showcases that well.

56. Dangerous – Sleep Token (6.3/10)

16. Superman - Morgan Wallen (7/10)

Wallen opens up about his controversy and past in a heartfelt country guitar song; it gives more of the lower-note energy rather than creating a country-pop chill song; it's like a mix of a few of his other songs from the rollout. Think of it like 'I'm The Problem' and 'Just In Case' blended together; you would get 'Superman'.

RE-ENTRIES:

99. Ribs – Lorde
[Glad it's back!]

72. Damocles – Sleep Token
[Sad to see this return.]

58. Emergence – Sleep Token
[Can't say I care.]

THE TOP TEN:

10. Love Somebody – Morgan Wallen (Up 8/31 weeks in chart)
9. A Bar Song (Tipsy) – Shaboozey (Down 5/58 weeks in chart)
8. Superman – Morgan Wallen (Up 8/NEW PEAK/2 weeks in chart)
7. I Got Better – Morgan Wallen (NEW)
6. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (Down 3/40 weeks in chart)
5. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (Down 4/26 weeks in chart)

2. Just In Case – Morgan Wallen (Up 9/NEW PEAK/9 weeks on the chart)
1. What I Want – Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (NEW)

NEW ENTRIES:

91. Shake It To The Max (Fly) – MOLIY/Silent Addy/Skilibeng/Shenseaa (5/10)

My review of the original:

It's two minutes of basic Afrobeat music that sounds like some of Libianca's lesser-known music; this brings out no emotion, nor does it captivate you at any moment – it's just a drumbeat with someone shouting "hey" looped, and that's honestly pretty disappointing.

My review of the added remix with Skilibeng and Shenseaaa:

Still not a repeat, a pretty pointless remix that doesn't feel out of line with the song but just continues its brand of mediocrity.

90. Don't Say You Love Me – Jin (7/10)

Jin actually makes a song that's worthy of a replay? That wasn't on my 2025 bingo card. I like how he blends sadness into a nice English-Korean pop song that captures the energy well.

88. Crazy Eyes - Morgan Wallen (8/10)

84. Working Man's Song – Morgan Wallen (7.5/10)

83. Whisky In Reverse - Morgan Wallen (7.5/10)

79. LA Night - Morgan Wallen (7.3/10)

73. Nothin' Left – Morgan Wallen (8.2/10)

72. Drinking Til It Does - Morgan Wallen (6/10)

70. Leavin's The Least I Could Do – Morgan Wallen (7.4/10)

69. The Dealer – Morgan Wallen/ERNEST (7.5/10)

65. Miami - Morgan Wallen (0.1/10)

63. Come Back As A Redneck – Morgan Wallen/HARDY (7.2/10)

60. Jack And Jill - Morgan Wallen (5.7/10)

54. Revelation - Morgan Wallen (8.1/10)

52. Number 3 and Number 7 – Morgan Wallen/Eric Church (7.6/10)

51. Interlude – Morgan Wallen (8/10)

50. Dark Til Daylight – Morgan Wallen (7/10)

48. Don't We – Morgan Wallen (7.5/10)

46. Genesis - Morgan Wallen (8/10)

42. Missing – Morgan Wallen (8/10)

41. If You Were Mine – Morgan Wallen (7/10)

34. Kiss Her In Front Of You – Morgan Wallen (8.3/10)

32. Where'd That Girl Go - Morgan Wallen (8/10)

31. TN - Morgan Wallen (7/10)

29. Skoal, Chevy and Browning – Morgan Wallen (5.5/10)

25. Falling Apart – Morgan Wallen (7.3/10)

22. Eyes Are Closed – Morgan Wallen (7/10)

21. Kick Myself – Morgan Wallen (8/10)

20. 20 Cigarettes – Morgan Wallen (6/10)

7. I Got Better – Morgan Wallen (8/10)

1. What I Want – Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (8/10)

This song is currently my most streamed of the week, and the single shows as the last released single of Morgan's latest album "I'm The Problem". Tate and Morgan both give an equally good vocal performance, with them each letting their style flow through on the ballad.

TOP TEN:

10. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Up 4/70 weeks in chart)
9. Nokia – Drake (Up 3/15 weeks on the chart)
8. Lose Control – Teddy Swims (Up 3/93 weeks in chart)
7. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (Down 1/41 weeks in chart)
6. A Bar Song (Tipsy) – Shaboozey (Up 3/59 weeks in chart)

2. What I Want – Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (Down 1/2 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (Up 3/1 week no.1/16 weeks in chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

88. Somewhere Over Laredo – Lainey Wilson (7/10)

Previous listen:

Lainey's vocals can actually make simple country sound really good. Hopefully she delivers something that tops her last album.

Added:

This would've fit on her last album; it has a chorus that flows with ease and that's simple to understand, nothing more though.

74. Latina Foreva – Karol G (7.8/10)

Previous listen:

Fun, bouncy Colombian pop that will become a replay in her discography.

Added:

A very interesting arrangement of sounds that shows Karol is trying to upgrade to a new high in the genre.

62. Cliché – Mgk (7.2/10)

Pop and alternative-indie that describe MGK wanting someone to run away with him even if they're better off alone. It's actually an alright listen, not too bad in any way.

32. Bloodline – Alex Warren/Jelly Roll (3/10)

Every song Alex Warren makes sounds like a song that you would hear on a Christian wedding reel. Not only is his "Ordinary" song probably going to be the biggest song released in 2025, but his other songs are rising back to popularity; we still haven't forgotten "Carry You Home" in 2025. Goodness, Benson, Myles and Alex & Jelly, 3 artists releasing in the same week, and I got what I expected from every one of them. Soulless and effortless pop music that only has a chorus because they sing higher notes – we need to dump this type of music.

RE-ENTRIES:

100. Feel It – D4vd
[Haven't been playing this recently.]

97. Busy Woman - Sabrina Carpenter
[Who's busy streaming this?]

96. The Largest – BigXthaPlug

THE TOP TEN:

10. Nokia – Drake (Down 1/16 weeks on the chart)
9. Beautiful Things – Benson Boone (Up 1/71 weeks in chart)
8. Lose Control – Teddy Swims (No change/94 weeks in chart)
7. Die With A Smile – Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars (No change/42 weeks in chart)
6. A Bar Song (Tipsy) – Shaboozey (No change/60 weeks in chart)
5. I'm The Problem – Morgan Wallen (Down 1/18 weeks in chart)
4. Luther – Kendrick Lamar/SZA (Up 1/28 weeks in chart)
3. Just In Case – Morgan Wallen (No change/11 weeks in chart)
2. What I Want – Morgan Wallen/Tate McRae (No change/3 weeks in chart)
1. Ordinary – Alex Warren (No change/2 consecutive weeks at no. 1/17 weeks in the chart)

NEW ENTRIES:

100. Nice To Meet You – Myles Smith (7/10)

What I previously wrote: (now 7/10)

The swing on this was nice, and the timing between each part was great, but it's not anything super out of the ordinary for Myles. It seems to find anything new from him as an artist. It uses the catchy "woah-oooo-oooo" line which I'm not surprised he's using, but it does eventually start to feel overused. And down to Myles' vocals, they're good, but I don't think they fit a lot of the songs' bases well, and even bending doesn't make it sound amazing. The end of the story is that I don't think he can sing on a song that's remembered forever, and FYI 'Stargazing' is not one of them. Despite me going a little harsh on Myles there, he definitely has potential to make use of a viral push; I'm never saying never! And due to the new EP, this could make a charting appearance.

98. Better Me For You (Brown Eyes) – Max McNown (3/10)

Oh wow, how unexciting can American country music get? This is becoming like a competition to see who can make the most boring chord progression and give the least amount of passion.

94. Fame Is A G*n – Addison Rae (8.2/10)

WOW... Addison makes something that I like?! That's a first. Addison's brand of bubblegum pop and synths usually feels like it doesn't do enough for me, but this made me think of a less glamorous version of PinkPantheress (and I don't mean that in an insulting way); it's just quick, pleasing pop that's good for the playlist.

82. Easy Lover – Miley Cyrus (8.4/10)

Miley leans back into her radio-pop sound while still keeping that class which made people love her new era. The album's out today, and hearing this boogie pop-rock song really lifts the expectations for the album.

81. Tu Sancho - Fuerza Regida (6.7/10)

I wasn't happy that I had to review another track by Fuerza, but for once it wasn't the same thing that they always input into our ears; sure, it wasn't the pinnacle of human experience, but it felt a little more genuine and a small step for the reggaeton scene.

50. Owa Owa – Lil Tecca (5/10)

Just like "Dark Thoughts", this won't be remembered long if it peaks. This samples the classic dance sound "Owa Owa" (which is a bad sample choice) and makes it one of the main components of the song.

33. Just Keep Watching – Tate McRae (7.6/10)

Tate's currently my most streamed artist of the year, and this will extend her lead by a slight bit (which she needs, as No. 2 is catching up fast!). Not only is this the best song from the F1 album, but it also has Tate's signature style; it sounds like something from "THINK LATER" but with a fine sound and diva energy coming through. It's a move that Tate's doing to solidify her place among the top pop girlies, and she's doing it well.

NOTEABLE CHANGES:
