a huge change from the last six days and regardless of the 90% humidity it was a welcome relief of sorts from relentless sun and heat

our temps over the last week have been around the 30C/86F and 37C/98F

but i feel sorry for my sister on the remote desert mining camp she works on,
temps up there have been between 49C/120C and 53C/127F since the beginning of December...

as a footnote, i have mentioned how hot it is where my sister works and she presented me with a couple of stats regarding the weather where she works:
since 09/09/23 the daily temps have not dipped below 36C/97F and since Christmas Day 2023 (25 days ago) the lowest daytime maximum was 43C/109F (the hottest day has been 53C/123F).

^That sounds like hell. No thanks!

We've taken a battering from the south easter which has been particularly malevolent this year. On the other hand, it saves us from extreme heat! Currently sitting in the mid to high 20's © most days.
