I was so impressed with Dominic Miller's 'Vagabond' that I have ordered his 'Absinthe' and 'Silent Light' albums as well without ever listening to either of them.

Just took delivery of the two albums mentioned above. So 'Vagabond' will finally be ejected from the CD player in the car for a while. Will let you know how good or bad the albums are.

not purchases but birthday gifts, no music gift cards this year but a few gifts on vinyl as that is the format that is now back in vogue here:
first up a 4cd/3dvd box set, contains the remastered River album, the original tracks for the single edition River album, some 20+ previously unreleased songs from the sessions, a double dvd of a concert in NYC from that period and a documentary about the album.
ive worn out my original of the album so a reissued blue vinyl was a welcomed treat
deluxe vinyl edition of Duran Duran "future past"
^^
got this one on a 'moss green' vinyl

got this one on 180gm clear vinyl

Today, a new song from my newest favorite singer was released. I made my purchase right after the clock struck midnight.
God bless you and Mason Ramsey always!!!

Dave Sinclair's Stream. It popped up on an alert and will be the most costly CD I own - provided it actually arrives! The ZAR sucks, along with postal services - or non-services. I think it was only pressed in Japan or something along those lines and the CD is impossible to find. Holding thumbs it doesn't disappear in transit. Just love 'Sad Eyes' - Andy Latimer doing his thing too, on that track ...

This was released on March 8th, but my copy came to me the day before.
God bless you and each past and present band member always!!!

P.S. The album is awesome, but I have to give a fair warning about the song on there named "This Side Of The Sky". If you listen to it, make sure that tissues are nearby because you may need them. So far, I've only listened to that song twice.

TAYLOR SWIFT "the tortured poets department"
the first 2024 release album i have purchased this year,
have others on my 'to purchase' list but i really wanted this one upon release...
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
PAUL WELLER "soul wandering" b/w "rise up singing"
7" red vinyl single
a RSD (Record Store Day) release...
i normally do not fall for RSD but with Mr Weller releasing an exclusive single for the day i thought i would get it.
both songs will feature on his upcoming album but nice to have something of a limited edition and only for sale for one day.
