in my favourite five female vocalists of all time list for sure
she has that 'girl next door'/'plain jane' look about her but still managed to ooze sex appeal.

She just oozed sex appeal when she was younger. And without even trying too!

ROGER McGUINN  "roger mcguinn" cd 1973

his debut solo album...
recorded just after the 1973 Byrds' album 'byrds'...
a very average album IMO, even the likes of the original Byrds, Dylan, Nash and Beach Boys' Bruce Johnston cannot lift this one...
some folk-rock, country-crossover, jazzy moments and a hint of blues but overall very 'been there-heard that' sounds already covered by The Byrds and considering some of these tracks were performed live by The Byrds over the previous four or so years which just about says it all (not good enough to record by his band) and it is no wonder....
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

favourite of an average bunch of tracks:

ROGER McGUINN  "peace on you"  cd, 1974

his second solo album...
a vast improvement on the lackluster debut solo set...
this one is full of solid folk-rock/soft-rock sounds typical of the period...
excellent album, loving most of it and liking the remainder.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
