Deezer listen:
his fifteenth solo album...
had a promising early solo career then it fell flat for me in the middle...
luckily his last handful of solo albums have been quite good IMO and this one continues that IMO...
album opens up with a track to keep Police fans happy and the next few are soft rock/pop tunes...
by the second half of the album the album slows down with more acoustic folky type material...
loving the lyrics on the slower tunes as his storytelling and imagery in those songs is first class...
so all up,
another good late career album from the Chief of Police...
the opening track: "Rushing Water" Sting - Rushing Water (Live on Later) - YouTube live on Later....with Jools
the lead off single: "If IT's Love" Sting - If It’s Love (Official Music Video) - YouTube video
my favourite, the folky "Captain Bateman" - includes lyrics in the clip
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
