Oh the irony. The CD I ordered in January has just arrived. Steve Hackett's Under a Mediterranean Sky. And I've recently re-ordered it from a different supplier so will now have two! Happy to share if anyone wants one. And the original lot had refunded me, so now I'm refunding them, lol! All a bit crazy. Incidentally - it had been opened by customs on our side which was probably the reason for the delay to begin with. They levied their pound of flesh, of course. Never mind - it's worth it.

Correction to my previous post. CD is called History of the Salon and not Music from the Salon. Brain must have been in bypass again...

went shopping to Perth, our State Capitol today with Dani's daughter (primarily to take her 3yo on a bus and train) and she asked what i wanted for my birthday.
i replied maybe a cd or two and she obliged:
PAUL STANLEY'S SOUL STATION "now and then"
first time ive seen it in a store since it was released earlier in the year!
NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS "skeleton tree"
one more to the collection i have not previously purchased...
only one more to go to own the entire Bad Seeds collection...
(a purchase from five months ago that is still figuring out how to get here!)

NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS "the firstborn is dead"
purchased this online about 6 months ago and it was finally delivered today.
it was in stock when i ordered it, and it only had to travel from one side of the country to the other.
anyway,
their second studio album, and final Bad Seeds album to complete the collection.
to be fair, i cant recall anything from the album so this is totally new to me (and looking forward to it!)
^^
just looked at the tracklist on Wiki.
i remember the single "Tupelo" but thats it.
notice a Dylan cover on it also...."wanted man"

albums include:
1972 - Delta Dawn
1973 - What's Your Mama's Name
1974 - Would You Lay With Me (in a field of stone)"
1977 - you are so beautiful

^^^ To me, she only got better as she aged.
God bless you and Miss T always!!!
Holly (a fan of her for 30 years now)
P.S. What you have there are her first three albums. Two words of advice? Keep going.
Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!

(This post was last modified: 07-10-2021, 10:34 by CRAZY-HORSE.)
his first biographical book:
the synopsis:
So, I’ve written a book.
Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities (‘It’s a piece of cake! Just do four hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!’), I have decided to write these stories just as I have always done, in my own hand. The joy that I have felt from chronicling these tales is not unlike listening back to a song that I’ve recorded and can’t wait to share with the world, or reading a primitive journal entry from a stained notebook, or even hearing my voice bounce between the Kiss posters on my wall as a child.
This certainly doesn’t mean that I’m quitting my day job, but it does give me a place to shed a little light on what it’s like to be a kid from Springfield, Virginia, walking through life while living out the crazy dreams I had as young musician. From hitting the road with Scream at 18 years old, to my time in Nirvana and the Foo Fighters, jamming with Iggy Pop or playing at the Academy Awards or dancing with AC/DC and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, drumming for Tom Petty or meeting Sir Paul McCartney at Royal Albert Hall, bedtime stories with Joan Jett or a chance meeting with Little Richard, to flying halfway around the world for one epic night with my daughters…the list goes on. I look forward to focusing the lens through which I see these memories a little sharper for you with much excitement.
also ordered the last four albums i need to complete my Dylan collection (minus covers albums)
