movie Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extremely_...l_and_Vile
Ted Bundy Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Bundy
bio-pic about charismatic Serial Killer Ted Bundy.
Zac Efron stars as Bundy.
John Malkovic as the judge.
Jim Parsons as the prosecuting attorney.
superb portrayal of Bundy by Efron.
despite the rating saying 'strong sex scenes' and 'graphic violence', there was none.
that said, there were a few actual crime scene photos but nothing too graphic and no nudity.
IMO this was as good as the John Wayne Gacy bipic starring Brian Dennehy called "to catch a killer".
Rating: 4.5/5

a BBC World special interest story about Tété-Michel Kpomassie, a man from Togo who had a fear of snakes.
he only had a handful of years eductaion but during that time he read a book about Greenland and in the bood it said that the country is so cold that no snakes live there.
as a 19 year old he left Togo on a boat and made his way to Greenland where he lived and learned from the Eskimos.
he spent years living amongst them.
eventually he left to live in France.
he still spends his time between Togo, France and Greenland.
the story was him now, at almost eighty years of age telling his story...awesome life, there should be a movie made about the dude and his adventures!

a remake of the Robin Williams movie but modernised.
set inside a video game as opposed to a board game.
story plays out like a video game also.
movie has some genuinely funny moments but overall its pretty stupid.
i tried to like it but i really didnt which was a shame as im a big fan of Dwayne Johnson.

movie based on a Stephen King novella of the same name (which i have not read BTW)
more of a drama than horror
Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1922_(2017_film)
starts in 1930 where Wil James is writing his confession in a hotel room.
story then flits back to 1922 when he killed his wife because she had enough of farm life.
his son then takes off with his pregnant girlfriend and commits crimes to survive.
both the son and girlfriend end up dying from winter exposure.
all the time Wil is haunted by what he has done.
fast forward back to 1930 as he writes his confession his past comes back to exact revenge.....
very good movie about regret and guilt
unusually good for a King adaptation
Rating: 3.5/5

The Detectorists
Such a pleasant surprise find! A BBC4 production that quietly gets under your skin. Hilarious in an unassuming, gentle kind of way. The series centres on two friends who go metal detecting together as a hobby, one of whom is still to qualify as an archaeologist while the other is a forklift driver for a big agricultural concern. They mostly turn up very ordinary finds, tin tabs, shrapnel, toy cars etc., and although always driven by the hope of finding buried treasure are pretty pragmatic about it all. In actual fact the fields and hills they sweep are full of relics that they just keep missing, lol! It’s their escape from an otherwise humdrum existence – the romance of hidden gold, artefacts and history.
They, and an odd assortment of fellow detectorists belong to a club that is run by a gung ho ex police general type person and his quite batty wife. One of the episodes is them having an 'open' day with their finds on display on tables. Lance, one of the main characters has a display titled Ring Pulls Through The Ages - hysterical! The characters are wonderful – there are some rival antiquities fellows who look like Simon and Garfunkel which leads to all sorts of puns, a flaky new age ex-wife, a longsuffering girlfriend, a farmer who has imaginary dogs, and a collection of other very clearly imagined personages.
It’s all very ordinary and unpretentious and it’s sweet and kind and funny and incredibly chuckleworthy once engrossed. The characters reveal their depths as you go along and what at first impression looks as though it might a tad boring turns into something charming, clever and superior in quality. I like the theme song too …
