loved season one of Ozark.
gave season two a go when it was released but couldn't get into it.
very little peaked my interest today so I thought I would revisit Ozark Season II.
afterall, it deserves it because the first one was so good.

This Is Where You Leave
Netflix comedy/romantic-comedy
stars James Bateman, Timothy Olyphant, Adam Douglas Driver and Jane Fonda.
without giving anything specific away its the story of a disfunctional family bought together after the death of their patriarch.

I found it a bit slow in a lot of places and the laughs were few and far between.

just finished season II of Ozark.
not sure why it didn't gel with me when I tried to watch it when it came out because it was as good if not better than the first series.
the story revolves a lot more around my favourite characters in this season in Ruth Langmore (she makes this series on her own IMO) and the Snell family, shame Jacob Snell died at the end of the season though.
was also expecting the Byrde family to flee to Australia as it had been building up to that since the last couple of episodes of the first season.
looking forward to watching season three next week!

^Thanks! I watched The Two Popes as well. Good movie.
Did anyone see the Spacex launch yesterday? I watched it. Always fascinated by these things for some reason. Astronauts are different breed I've decided - stands to reason that they'd be chosen for the job for certain qualities. Wouldn't do to be excitable would it? Prosaic, pragmatic fellas. All power to them.

finished Season 3 of Ozark today...
WOW!, a couple of surprises towards the end, didn't see the twist at the end of the last episode coming (but hoped that would happen).
best character in the series is still Ruth Langmore, im rooting for everything she does.
gotta find another series to watch now have caught up and awaiting new series of Stranger Things, Lucifer, Ozark and Big Bang Theory (final season).
the "Jeffrey Epstein:filthy rich" doco series looks pretty good, might give that a go to hopefully get some insight into his relationships with Trump, Clinton and Prince Andrew.

Drama.
watched for the umpteenth time...
still as hard hitting and 'in your face' as the original time I saw it at the cinema.
pretty sure you've all seen it, and if you haven't, then why not? its a cinematic masterpiece.
in my top-5 movies of all time.

Netflix doco: "Jeffrey Epstein: filthy rich"
just watched the first episode, three more to go.
its about convicted paedophile Epstein.
first episode is set in Florida, lots of graphic details from then 12-16yo girls who were procured to attend his residence for illegal activities.
some actual police/victim interviews both audio and visual used, episode ends as the Warrant is executed on his house in Palm Beach.
absolutely fascinating and riveting stuff so far.
also quite harrowing at times.

Netflix doco made with assistance of author James Patterson.
four one hour long episodes.
interviews with his victims, police officers, reporters, employees etc.
some actual audio and video police interviews with Epstein and several victims.
shows the corruption of State and Federal officials to cover up/make light of his crimes on his initial arrest around 2008.
right through to his subsequent final arrest and death.
my conclusion,
he was such a narcissist that there is no way he would have hung himself, he truly believed he was above the law and thought he was rich enough and smart enough to outwit everybody.
second autopsy on broken bones in his throat/neck were also consistent with strangulation as opposed to suicide.
regardless,
lots of questions remain unanswered about his wealth, life, associates and death.
lets not forget the harrowing accounts of these 12-17 year old girls from as early as the early 1990s to various law enforcement agencies, the stories are the same, they cant all be lying.
very well made, not glorifying/sugar-coating anything here, not playing it up for the doco, respectfully done for the victims.
