debuts at #2 on the UK Americana charts this week...
loving just about every track on this one, but cant compare to his previous
catalogue as ive never heard of him...
trying to think of a sounds like, feel like its on the tip of my tongue but I just
cant get there so some help would be appreciated because its bugging me!!

thinking of a band frontman other than an individual artist
for now I'm just calling it beautiful

^^Could be barking up the totally wrong tree, but to me, his vocal timbre is very similar to that of Neil Diamond - and in terms of intonation, I'd bet he's listened to a lot of Bowie.
Fairly impressive range Mr Fratelli has - I had thought of Eddie Vedder or Mark Lanegan, initially, but that’s probably just because they’re also baritones – so is Michael Bublé (since there's a touch of the crooner).
Yep – nice album – one of those that’ll probably grow on me.

LOL, I never contemplated any of those artists you mentioned Ruby,
but,
I could imagine Diamond, Vedder and Lanegan singing some of these songs.
im still searching for my 'sounds like' though and its been annoying me for the last eleven months!
