Currently Watching?
interview with Donald Trump Jr.
a highly articulate speaker
humble
brutally honest with his thoughts and opinions

i was impressed with the way he conducted himself.

was basically being interviewed because he has a book out called "triggered", sounds like it will be an interesting yet controversial read.

^^Brutal is right - I will never be able to get past his slaughter of wild animals for entertainment. Survival is one thing - trophy/canned hunting quite another. Sickening. And "the villagers were grateful for the meat" doesn't cut it either. What a load of utter b/s. He's spoilt, arrogant and entitled IMHO - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Sorry - not having a go at anyone here, just sayin'. Probably best not to venture into differences of political opinion - I'll shut up now. Big Grin

What I intended to post before getting sidetracked, was this ...

20 Feet from Stardom

A documentary focusing on backing singers – fascinating glimpse into that world. Definitely worth a watch by anyone who’s remotely interested. Amazing how integral these voices are to the whole – some astonishing sounds from Lisa Fischer, particularly, but some of the others too. This is her take (Wiki) - "I reject the notion that the job you excel at is somehow not enough to aspire to, that there has to be something more. I love supporting other artists." She added: "Some people will do anything to be famous. I just wanted to sing."

Here’s a clip from the movie …

^On my old bag side do you mean? Lol! Careful now ...  Tongue

Another watch - one that scared me witless - The Great Hack. Jeez, there are some scary, mercenary people out there, and they have our collective number. Yikes!! (I think Mark Zuckerberg might be an alien.)

flicking through the channels last night I came across a doco about 'private police' in JoBurg.
those dudes are more brutal than the criminals their vigilante group tries to arrest.
some of them even pay off the Police who attend the arrests they make so they don't get hauled off to jail
for their illegal bashings etc...
the doco was made by outstanding UK investigative journalist Louis Theroux

2010 remake of the Horror classic from the mid 1980s
aint a patch on the original and the dude who plays Freddy Krueger
aint in the same league as Robert England's portrayal of the Serial Child Killer.

1/5

no cover art for the series, sorry

Season one could have been the only series with it being left open for our imaginations
to determine what occurred but there is a Season 2, it picks up two years after Season 1
finished.
same socially inept/awkward characters, same black humour.
worth watching if you've seen the first Season
the first Season is worth watching if you haven't seen it especially if youre partial to black humour.
a worthy successor but I can see it going downhill if they continue

Season I:  4.5/5

Season II:  4/5
