Spotify listen:
from Missouri, resides in Nth Carolina...
fourth album but ive never heard of her previously...
hearing some Jenny Lewis, Courtney Barnett, Weyes Blood...
not at all electronic but im hearing Ultravox (strange but not Steve LOL)...
voice sounds, vunerable, yearning, sensual, dreamy, earnest, almost yelping and
quite often all at the same time or at least in the same song,
features some echo at times which give a hollow, distant naked feel...
songs sound familiar yet brand new...
interesting collaborative of guitars, synths and strings/orchestrations, often at the same time..
trying to think of how to describe the recording sound, and all I can get is Cathedral-like
songs are filled with themes of despair, love lost/unrequited, so I guess its a negative album
but at times uplifting with its music...
very very good album...

the superb title track live on The Tonight Show:
