The New Elton John Movie ....OK but....
#1
Over the last few days I have been reading a few articles about the new film about "our Reg" ...it seems that many reviewers say it is good but, not epic....it has a great sound track, it shows much about the rock star life of Elton but.....it never really gets to the man beneith Elton Hercules John and who he really is......what are your thoughts? Smile

( P.S. a bit disappointed .....as far as I know they missed out the scene where a very tiny Gryphon was seen watching Elton perform in a Grimsby pub in the late 60s.....how could they !!!!!!!!!!!)
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

i'll end up watching it regardless of what reviewers think ,as I did Bohemian Rhapsody, which the critics were generally luke warm with at best, and I loved it...

Bohemian was brilliant.

BTW the autobiography 'Elton' is excellent.

There are some movies that MUST be seen on a big screen - Bohemian Rhapsody was one. I'll probably wait for Elton's to hit Netflix or something. There is still a fully operational (and thriving) DVD hire place close to where I live - as anachronistic as that may be! Love it.

our last DVD hire shop closed five or six years ago...the advent of Netflix/Stan and other such online media squeezed them out of the marketplace...
