I've been looking everywhere (technologically, Shazam etc and other tools, 'find that music' discussion boards, and on social media) to find the origins of the following piece of music. The photo is a random image from Mali. My best guess for now is that area (the Kora, the language?) but not sure. Would be great if someone hear knows...

I don't know that song but it certainly sounds as though it could come from around that area. Maybe Senegal ... doesn't sound like Ismaël Lô, or Baaba Maal, but I could be wrong. Perhaps another artist from that region? I know of Ali Farka Touré from Mali and his son Vieux Farka Touré. Might be a clue - not sure??! Perhaps try to distinguish a word or phrase that could be the title and search on that.

Ok well, we will persevere - Ruby's the music detective on the site - if anyone can find out, it's her. Here's some homework for you Miss Tuesday...….
Oh yes - if you can't manage to complete the project on your own, you can always come around to my place for extra lessons . . . . . . . . ! To keep things professional I insist that you wear your school uniform. LOL.

I’m just so surprised it’s so hard to find.
There are clear jazz influences so also looked at specialist jazz sites or collaborations like the Kora Jazz band...

I have asked them in multiple ways if they can tell me what it is but they don't respond. In the 20k comments tens of ppl ask about the music but noone gives the answer.
