From the age of 14, London-based Santino Payne has been engaged in the exercise ofmanifesting a pure, concentrated form of expression through music. By challenging the gospel ofwhat is considered “standard” about the folk genre, Payne performs as Poppy’s Field with a freshtake on composition and storytelling that makes the singer-songwriter honest, raw and accessible.Threading in tight production with his polyrhythmic vocals and raps, Poppy’s Field has sharedPayne’s emotional, rich & deep tenor-driven lyrics across Europe and the United States.

With an obsession for honing his craft, Payne has been focused on growing through countless collaborations and releases, reflecting a refreshing ability to effectively relay his thoughts and experiences through the universal power of music. Citing artists like The Smiths, Plan B, Jackson Browne, Notorious B.I.G and Buddy Holly as prime musical influences the Poppy’s Field act has demonstrated a concrete vision for Payne’s music with performances reflecting a maturity and an overall awareness of the world around him that goes beyond his years.
In working with acclaimed producer Toby Baker, who has previously devised hits for Eric Clapton, Will Young, and Donna Summer, Poppy's Field continues to develop a refined sound that is all the act’s own.
Payne’s music has been played on Gary Crowley's BBC London 94.9, introducing shows and various radio stations across the UK and US to Payne’s idiosyncratic sound. Santino was also interviewed by Jonathan Frahm of PopWrapped about Poppy’s Field’s unique urban folk stylings and the state of the music industry today.
The act has recently been signed to Spectra Music Group, the largest indie label in the industry. Spectra has released Poppy's Field's debut EP 'Doll Face' across multiple channels, giving access to the album across several streaming outlets whilst also distributing physical copies for sale.
Poppy’s Field has spent the previous two years touring across America as part of The Revolution Tour and The SoCal Winter, where the act has performed alongside the L.A-based group Brave Native, actress and singer Lauren Mayhew, Youtube sensations Bria and Chrissy and the Jazz/Funk band Heritage. The act has also had the joy of performing 7 shows at the prestigious SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.
In the short time Payne has been active in America, Poppy's Field has already secured sponsorships with Red Roof Inn and clothing brand American Gypsy Apparel.

Poppy's Field debut EP ''Doll Face'' released by Spectra Music Group is available for download now.

no thanks, not interested....
why?
because you and people like you only go to music sites to get listens, likes etc to your own music, youre not interested in participating in "music discussion"

'...has been engaged in the exercise of manifesting a pure, concentrated form of expression through music'

What a load of crap. More made-up blurb.
