Australian sot rock duo....
pretty big in the 1970s and early 1980s....
their staple was mainly love songs/ballads....
last big hit was surprisingly written by Jim Steinman (making love out of nothing at all)
around 1983-ish....
at one point they had seven consecutive top five hits on the US charts, a record at that time...
I don't own any other singles or albums by this group/duo, nor do I want to, this one is all I need IMO...
they still tour and in the last couple of years toured Australia, I believe they still do the Vegas casino strip
circuit thing....

was their third single, reaching #45 here in Australia...

gave it a listen... nice song IMO...

jazz/rap/hip-hop is what I call this
letting the jazz sound win on placement
that's what makes a lot of this work for me
2nd album of 9 here and the last one to hit the chart
still around I guess with an album in 2013
this is the only one I've heard

as I would think all of her sides were jazz sides
this is from a Verve series of compilations of jazz artists
can't say I'm a big fan but I do appreciate her contribution to the music era
50 albums over a 40 year span
she must have done something right

I like Sarah Vaughan in fact I had an album of hers, but I lost it when I moved for College along with a Billie Holiday collection edition album I got for Christmas from my sister. :Sadface: I need to buy those albums again.

fourth album from Dan....
some folky stuff on here, some acoustic others with strings...
although the string ones don't sound like it, i'd say Neil's "a man needs a maid"
is the sort of sound these have...
a couple of 'soft rock' tracks also....
not as good as "captured angel" and "home free" but still a reasonably good effort...
