No problem. That's why I put that in that answer.
I understand some may not have an opinion, or may not have heard all of an artists material, therefore feel not qualified to participate. I'd rather they not participate than guess. If I was asked the best album of some of you guys death/doom metal bands, I would not be qualified to participate.

I would like to see the following: Members taking an album or maybe an artist and writng a objective review of the that album , its strengths , its weaknesses, the influences , the links to other artists , other people produced by the same producer , guest artists , further listening, covers of the tracks etc . Maybe the same sort of approach could be given to artists too

That is good feedback. Thank you. A long time ago before the relaunch of the site, we did have a review section. Which worked ok, but wasn't easy to get reviews written to the standard you want. We will try to give some thought as to how reviews could be posted on a regular basis, to a standard that makes it interesting and uniform.

Well uniform anyway. Interesting when I have the initiative to elaborate. I seem interested when I read them back to myself.
Obviously not close to what gryphon wants, but no professioanl writers here.

The best way to get reviews would be to ask how the new album or the particular artist is... one will get tons of responses from various members.. whicg might help on your opinion..

Also if you feel you have a review or strong opinion about some artist/album, go ahead start a thread in the respective genre board...

A SUGGESTION:
I think we need a recommendation board, where we can ask for similar artist or music recommendations..

I think that carbon psycho is right : the addition of a recommendations board subdivided into musical types plus a kind of template to guide the reviewer as to the format of the review would be a good idea . I might also be a good idea to provide a place where people who have read the review can add further comment s to support or maybe not the review.

Your referring to 'articles' (a piece of software). Articles is an excellent way to showcase reviews.
