second album after leaving Procol Harum
reached #7 here
only have this one on cd
but the first 3 are all deserving
this cd release includes 5 bonus tracks
live radio studio versions of 5 tracks you just heard
they are no different
pointless to me

fourth album from this glam rock/hard rock band from the UK....
this may upset a few people (or may not) but I don't know why I even bought this piece of crap...
well I do actually,
I remembered liking a couple of the singles back in the day and on one of my ;lets see what I missed out on'
cd purchase expeditions a while ago I picked this one up...
so now I know why I didn't like this synth rock clichéd stereotypical glam/hair band stuff back in the day...
terrible, terrible album IMO and I have no intention o looking into their back catalogue any further...

I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

worst track: take your pick of most of them!
best track: Armageddon it

Mark Knopfler - Tracker - not a single bum track on the album. The man delivers - every single time. A unique talent.
'The purpose of life is a life of purpose' - Athena Orchard.

"Love Bites" is OK; just OK.

Like you I am not a fan at all of this particular genre. The so-called "hair metal" bands seemed to mostly feature style over substance, and I'm sure it was a case of kids liking them because their friends liked them, good old PGP. Def Leppard were neither better nor worse than most of them.

Supertramp’s Even in the Quietest Moments.

Due to songwriting credit argy bargy and other bones of contention between Roger and Rick there are very few original Supertramp clips available on YT. There are solo efforts, yes, but not the band. Such a great shame and it all seems so pointless, especially now Rick’s really not well … life is so short … but anyway – this one seems to have been approved by Hodgson and is the only EITQM track I can find ...

^^ This is a good album. Crime of the Century perhaps represented their peak, but I think Quietest Moments is my second favourite.

The cover photo, apparently, was not doctored; they actually had a real piano out there in the snow.

In response to the Def Leppard downers...Aw come on....their drummer lost his arm in a car wreck, then found it in a field and picked it up. The guys refused to replace him and he had to relearn to play the drums using his feet in place of his missing arm. Photograph was a real shot in the arm of rock when released and the band were all teens except lead singer, Joe who I think was 21. I love Love Bites. Rock of Ages was a great song too.

I just don't like their music or their image...

cudos to the guys for sticking by their drummer...would have been so easy for them to replace him, and also, the drummer could have sat back and wallowed in self pity over losing his arm, instead he got up, retrained/relearned and kept on rocking...for that alone he is no doubt a great role model to other disabled people.

as for your "shot in the arm" comment mate....not sure whether you were trying to be funny or serious, but I thought it was funny...
