Going to attempt to initiate something here to reach a consensus of what our members favorite albums are by various artists. I realize we at times have had posts/threads on this topic. What will be different here is that the results will be tabulated in the form of a poll. We will then have a pretty little graph and that scientific calculation to give us a percentage. Hopefully we will get enough participants to make it meaningful. Your job is to vote. Remember you can only vote once, so make it count. We'll see how it goes.
Posting this as a seperate thread so as not to clutter up the individual artist threads. Will sticky this so that it remains at the top. I will not sticky the artist threads as there will be too many. Gotta be picky, 'bout what we choose to sticky. I will put all of these polls in this General Music category so as not to have them all over.
Peiodically I will create a new thread highlighting a specific artist. The thread will include all studio albums by the artist, the album cover and the track listing to refresh our memories.
With some artists it will be necessary to create multiple threads for their catalogue, as we are limited to 10 items per poll. When this is done, I will number each thread 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc. Shouldn't be that many where we need more than 2. Be fair and only vote in 1 of the multiple threads. When we use more than 1 thread, it will be necessary to view both to see the true results.
The ideal candidates for this exercise will be those artists that have survived for a number of years, in the classic rock vain, which most of us will be familiar with most of their work. Of course if you are younger, you may not be. I would urge you to check them out, as they will all be worthy of your attention simply by their longevity. I hope I will eventually cover your favorite artist. Of course if you are only into that obscure stuff, maybe not. Nothing wrong with obscure stuff, but it's good to be aware of the classics also.
