My dear friends,
Far be for me to be anything like an alarmist however, since returning from Windsor on Sunday my health appears to be taking a severe turn for the worse - I do hope not!
This morning, after a night spent in considerable pain, I am having great difficulty getting my legs to do anything apart from hurt. I feel like someone has been kicking me in the lower back and hips and my right leg is just plain refusing to lift unless I do it manually with my hand - I have been having to do this for the last few days to get the bloody thing in and out of the car but it seems to be getting worse. I'm hoping that the extra pain is a result of the considerable walking that I did on Sunday while at the Blues Festival and nothing more sinister.
I don't intend to leave you all behind just yet and will fight this crappy disease with every last ounce of what I can muster. There are still songs to be sung - even if badly on occasion. There are still memories to be made and I love you all too much to piss off just yet. But I do think that the real fight is about to start!
Pass this along to anybody who knows me and doesn't have Internet access and all of you take good care of one another.
Should the unforgivable happen - just raise a glass to me and say goodbye!
Cheers and all my love to every one of you,
