Feeling really bloody crook.....................
#1
My dear friends,

Far be for me to be anything like an alarmist however, since returning from Windsor on Sunday my health appears to be taking a severe turn for the worse - I do hope not!
This morning, after a night spent in considerable pain, I am having great difficulty getting my legs to do anything apart from hurt. I feel like someone has been kicking me in the lower back and hips and my right leg is just plain refusing to lift unless I do it manually with my hand - I have been having to do this for the last few days to get the bloody thing in and out of the car but it seems to be getting worse. I'm hoping that the extra pain is a result of the considerable walking that I did on Sunday while at the Blues Festival and nothing more sinister.
I don't intend to leave you all behind just yet and will fight this crappy disease with every last ounce of what I can muster. There are still songs to be sung - even if badly on occasion. There are still memories to be made and I love you all too much to piss off just yet. But I do think that the real fight is about to start!
Pass this along to anybody who knows me and doesn't have Internet access and all of you take good care of one another.
Should the unforgivable happen - just raise a glass to me and say goodbye!

Cheers and all my love to every one of you,
Beachie

Thanks Tony, me old!
Hopefully, it is just the excess walking and crap but it seems to have happened so quickly and is just plain bloody debilitating. I was fine last Saturday!

Didn't want to reply to hastily here, but now that I've let it sink in.

Beach, you ole pit bull, you ain't goin' nowhere.

Obviously I don't know you as well as these other guys. One thing I have observed in my short time here, is how much you are liked and respected by your fellow posters. I'm sure that when the inevitable happens you will be greatly missed here.

Not sure if you're a reader. If so, I would recommend Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom for times such as these.

Certainly not one to be preachy, and I realize there are detractors. But in the end all we have is hope that there is something better that awaits us. Although the beauty of this earth and the prospect of where it came from is quite enough to console me in my weakest moments, I still hope for something after it. Most of all that we will be reunited with our loved ones. We have to at least have the hope of that.

When that time comes, here's what you can look forward to my friend. Imagine that great gig in the sky. The all star lineup: Ray Charles, Willie Dixon, Billie Holiday, John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins, Son House, Howlin' Wolf, Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James, Blind Willie Johnon, Albert King, Lead Belly, Brownie McGhee, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Bessie Smith, Sonny Terry, Big Mama Thornton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sonny Boy Williamson, Max Roach
and new to the lineup "Heavenly Moderator" Beach.[Image: beach-albums-beachhead-birthday-bash-pic...effery.jpg]

Imagine that stage. In the audience, all your loved ones who took the path before you. Front row, center stage, Shirley. I'll be purchasing a ticket soon mate.
