Hey guys
I'm from Melbourne, Australia, have been playing solo for the past couple of years now.
My influences are all over the place, RHCP, REM, INXS, KOL, Vance Joy, Black Keys
I recently just recorded an EP called 'Colours' that I can send to you, no charge
However I also just finished recording a song called 'Shelter' that is receiving a great response
You can hear it here http://www.soundcloud.com/jgeorgemusic
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks
Jake

welcome to MD Jake...
RHCP...im more o a singles an of those guys than their albums, loved Anthony's "scar tissue" autobiography, excellent reading IMO.
REM...great band IMO
INXS...was never a big fan, loved a few of their single, but hated a lot of them also, "never tear us apart" is my favourite of theirs.
Vance Joy...really like his album, good stuff IMO...
Black Keys, only own a couple of their albums, good band from what ive heard.
anyway, im from Perth mate,
Fremantle fan through and through, our season isn't going to get much better than the three games, three losses so far,
we'll end up on the bottom five this year, simply no structure on the field, too defensive and unable to kick more than
ten goals a game, cant win games scoring ten goals IMO.

Hi there - listened to your 'Shelter' track - not bad. I immediately thought of Supertramp when I heard the opening acoustic strumming. One suggestion - the bass needs to be a bit more prominent. Listen to Supertramp's 'Give a Little Bit' and take note of how the bass is actually driving the track. Other than that it's fine. Just a suggestion which you can ignore if you feel it's not relevant. Keep on composing!

sorry, forgot to mention Kings Of Leon...
good band, wasn't keen on that "sex on fire" thing, love their earlier material better than their later material
which sounds too polished and sterile to me....buy hey, good band nonetheless.
