THE CULT "hidden city"
from the world of Spotify...
tenth studio album from this British band...
they used to be a hard rock/metal band apparently,
but theres no metal here, I call it alt rock...
the vocalist's baritone and delivery style is very David Bowie,
none more so than on the fourth track "in blood"...
in some places theres a bit of a Tin Machine feel happening,
but its not as messy or chaotic as that Bowie side project.
elsewhere, I can hear shades of Nick Cave vocally,
on the opening track his voice is a bit more high pitched
and that track sounds like the simple two chord thrash of
Crazy Horse, thus has a bit of a NY 'ragged glory' type sound.
all up, not a bad album overall.
