Its all too easy to dismiss Coming From Reality as a poor relative of Cold Fact but....
Any folk artist, including Dylan, would have been proud of that one....
Sixto Rodriguez made two of the greatest albums never to sell back in the day.

What I really meant by "knew" was "appreciate"

Jethro Tull - Minstrel in the Gallery - really like this album. Some really weird titles on this one. Never could figure that out.

Peter Gabriel - Passion - a haunting, chilling soundtrack to the movie 'The Passion of the Christ' - an extremely powerful movie as well. Leaves you thinking for days.

SiriusXM' TheLoft channel has a new-music show--In Spite of All the Danger. Heard there today are 2 artists new to me--The Sideshow Tragedy, who do narrative songs and Craig Finn, who has wit for days.

Steely Dan - Two Against Nature - not great but it does have it's moments - it sounds a little too 'produced' to me. Lacks some of that spontaneous creativity.

Heard Mark Knopfler's Tracker for the first time today. Another one for the 'to purchase' list. First impressions are most favourable! Nice, understated tracks with quite a prominent sax on some, and other interesting instruments - sounds good!
The lead track -

Jerome.....
You need to hear Ruby's Knopfler link mate....awesome stuff from him once again!
I've been meaning to listen to that album online for some time now but never got round to it and on that one track and your recommendation Ruby its on my list also, after all, I cant resist good sax!
And I'm not much of a fan of instrumentals on the whole but I like every one by Mark that I've heard, there's just something in him music that's irresistible for me...not sure if its the sound, tones of feel in his playing but.....he's got "it" in my books!!!!

I don't even have to think when it comes to Mark's music - it's a straight purchase without even hearing it. Everytime. Have all his stuff. Straits and solo. Oh and you misspelled 'sax' ............................
