the Gunners' third album...
was part of a two album simultaneous release with,you guessed it,"use your illusion II"...
this one isnt too bad...
theres a few covers on here including the Wings Bond Theme "live and let die" amongst others...
several of the songs arent even sung by Axl and theres a couple of overblown self indulgent lengthy tracks....
theres a bit of filler on here also, well, there would be when you release a couple of albums at the same time(remember Springsteen with "human touch"/"lucky town"??)
with a quarter of the album just not cutting it for me...
only saving grace really is the sublime rock ballad "november rain", but again, its nine minutes long, and overblown, but i still love it...

a lot better album than "illusion #1" IMO....
lots of rock ballads on this one and thats what i prefered with these guys, probably because they couldnt match the hard rock of their debut set....
fans obviously thought so also with more singles lifted from it,better chart placings(if only slightly) in most places and 20million sales as opposed
to 19million sales by "illusion #1"....
several tracks on this one i absolutely love here including their blistering assault of Dylan's "knockin' on heavens door", which incidently, my mum also loves
and shes been a mad Dyaln fan since 1962....
all up, a very good album that is only second in my mind to their debut classic "appetite for destruction"!

The Gunners' sixth and final album to date.....
no more slash here, and that takes away their unique guitar sounds IMO...
instead they use Robin Finck from NiN...
IMO the album has a distorted,messy more grungy feel to it than solid rock/hard rock because of that....
theres no "sweet child of mine","patience","tomorrows","november rain" or "welcome to the jungle" on this one....
infact theres nothing great at all, just an average album with a couple of duds in the final mix....
this one will probably score about the same as "use your illusion I" as a whole but i prefer the individual songs off that one over this one...
