What Are You Listening To?
Jerome Wrote:The Who - Who's Next - Deluxe Edition. This is a fantastic album. I really don't need to hear alternative mixes and all the other crap that is added to these 'deluxe' versions. The final product they released all those years ago was just perfect the way it was. I really don't want to hear the warm-up versions of these classic tracks.

their best studio album IMO...awesome stuff indeed Jerome
i have that deluxe edition on cd...
there are a couple of previously unreleased tracks on that one which arent too bad, but yes, alternate mixes,Pete's demo's...
i cant do without them also...
whereas, the Jethro Tull re-issues contain two, three or four bonus tracks and theyre as good as the stuff on the original albums.

Jerome Wrote:Jackson Browne - Running on Empty. Marvellous album.

Jackson....
a quality artist who has not made a bad album(that ive heard anyway!)...
quality lyrics on every album and brilliantly 'equalised' final production

Mr. Rush has been making outstanding recordings for 35 years and on the "chitlin circuit" (nightclubs/theater appearances for Black folks) for 60+. As much as I like him, I need to caution that he sings about life from a street-level, very raw POV with raw language--hard-R or rougher. A good intro is this CD/DVD from a decade ago: http://www.allmusic.com/album/live-at-gr...0000572019

Thanks for the warning Jazzy! The Too Much Weekend track showed the raw aspect......I love it! Wish I could hear more of the dirty hard side of the blues ala The Red Devils with Lester Butler!

Hard to follow up DSOTM, but they did it.
The bands 3rd best selling album.
Didn't much care for the repeat of Diamond, been there, did that.
Just glad they didn't add parts 10-20.
