Died in the back seat of a Cadillac.... from morphine abuse.
I guess he really did 'see the light'...at some random gas station.

Even Elvis I suppose died from a OD, as did Whitney. Doesn't take away from their music. IMHO Hank was before his time. Probably actually one of the first outlaws. We don't know if he was ready spiritually to leave this world or not. I hope he was!! Shelton could have took some lessons from grandpa!!

Elvis actually died from "cardiac arrest attributed to the overuse/miss-use of unprescribed medications"...but what do you expect when he took tablets to put him to sleep, tablets to wake him up, tablets to get him motivated, tablets to relax him etc etc
his doctor did to him what Michael Jackson's did to him...fed him prescription meds without the relevant prescriptions, both stars pretty much self-medicated themselves to an early grave. both Doctors in question should have been jailed for a lot longer than they actually were....
the sad thing is, Elvis was one of the forerunners of rock and roll as we all know, and everyone else that came along after him should have learned from his mistakes, but alas, people are stupid because of the "it will never happen to me" mentality...

Tobacco sure will!! It killed my Dad. 3-4 packs of cigs a day he puffed. His lungs were coming out of his nose.
