^I'm with MH on that one!
Golden Earring – Moontan and Golden Earring (aka Wall of Dolls). Haven’t listened to this band in some time. While not receiving the extent of the global accolades afforded to UK and American bands of a similar ilk (from what I can tell), they were damn good, IMHO. That said, there are a few influences in evidence, I’d say, ranging from the Rolling Stones to the BeeGees, Jethro Tull and beyond! Of the six tracks on the original release of Moontan, I could have done without two – the same two that were replaced on a later release by one long track “Big Tree Blue Sea” which in turn was on the earlier Golden Earring release and which (slightly shorter) version I prefer to the later one. Anyone confused yet? Anyway – it’s not going to be “Radar Love”, from Moontan, but “Are You Receiving Me” that takes it today … falsetto vibes in among the rockiness …

Damn, nothing like ganging up on a fella!!!!
i guess i have created a crisis on MD so what better album to follow up with than this one....
SUPERTRAMP "crisis? what crisis?" cd 1975
from the UK
their fourth of eleven, i own four and a comp
this one seems less polished in its production than the others i own
it appears raw and unfinished in some respects but i love that earthiness about it
this one scores 2.4 from me, the same as "breakfast..." but i prefer this one
I LOVE THIS ALBUM

SMALL FACES "ultimate collection" cd 1996
from the UK
my favourite band ever
Steve Marriott went on to form the brilliant Humble Pie
and was Jimmy's first choice to front his then new band Led Zeppelin
the Small Faces did it all, blues, blues rock, cockney knees up, psychedelia, pop, soul/r+b
a very underrated band IMO
comp scores 2.8 from me which means
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
fabulous song

Today's pick - one of those rare albums where I like every single track on the album.

As for Moontan listed above the last post. I could have done without Radar Love - only because it was played to death - but it does for on the album. Suzy Lunacy & Just Like Vince Taylor do not belong on that album.
