![]() WARPED "quicker ways to blacken eyes" cd, 2003 I cannot find any info on this Australian hard rock band at all, sorry. yep, hard rock not metal... theres hints of AC/DC, Iron Maiden,Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones in places through this one... mostly okay stuff with a couple of dud tracks thrown in the mix... sorry, but no YouTube links happening so these guys must be really obscure, even the album cover I copied and pasted was for individual tracks to purchase on the usual suspects... any way, album makes the grade scoring 1.8 over its twelve tracks.. album also includes a bonus six track 'ep' that was apparently previously only available as a Japanese import to Australia. I was going to post that also but whats the point with no artwork and no links available!

![]() METALLICA "load" cd, 1996 career stats: studio albums..............9 singles.......................37 this album................#1 everywhere! singles: "until it sleeps"...........#10 US...#1 AU...#5 UK "hero of the day"........#60 US...#2 AU..#17 UK "mama said"..........................#24 AU "king nothing"...........#90 US the band's 6th album and their departure from 'thrash metal' to straight hard rock was complete... fans(original fans) turned their back on them in their millions, but what they lost from that backlash they gained in new fans with the album selling around eight million copies worldwide... a couple of ballads on here, but for the most part its straight out hard rock stuff... the music is what you would expect of them, you either like or loathe it, I like it. I LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: bleeding me best track: cure tracks: 1...aint my bitch ** 2...2 X 4 ** 3...the house jack built *** 4...until it sleeps *** 5...king nothing ** 6...hero of the day ** 7...bleeding me ** 8...cure *** 9...poor twisted me ** 10.mama said ** 11.wasting my hate ** 12.thorn within ** 13.ronnie ** 14.the outlaw torn ** 3s=3 2s=11 1s=0 rating: 2.2

![]() TOBIAS SAMMET'S AVANTASIA "ghost lights" 2016 career stats: studio albums.........7 singles...................6 this album..............#6 CAN...#53 UK...#101 US singles: "mystery of a blood red rose".......no chart action id never heard of these guys till I Spotified this album as a new release back in January... anyway, theyre a symphonic hard rock band from Germany (the album peaked at #2 over there), from the moment this one starts you can hear tracks that sound eerily similar in style to those of early Meat-Loaf (ie the Deadringer album)...Jim Steinman's operatic rock style is all over this one, along with those rock ballads that build up rom piano to out and out rock and roll over six or seven minutes. obviously not the same as Steinman/Meat Loaf, but as close as you could probably get, very good album, not sure it will grow on me any more, I feel its found its plateau to my ears. I LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: unchain the light best track: mystery of a blood red rose tracks: 1...mystery of a blood red rose *** 2...let the storm descend upon you ** 3...the haunting ** 4...seduction of decay ** 5...ghostlights ** 6...draconian love *** 7...master of the pendulum *** 8...Isle of Evermore ** 9...Babylon vampyres * 10.lucier *** 11.unchain the light * 12.a restless heart and obsideon skies ** 13.wake up to the moon *** 3s=5 2s=6 1s=2 rating: 2.2

I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: carpe diem baby best track: prince charming tracks: 1...fuel * 2...the memory remains ** 3...devil's dance * 4...the unforgiven II ** 5...better than you * 6...slither ** 7...carpe diem baby * 8...where the wild things are * 9...bad seed ** 10.prince charming ** 11.attitude * 12.fixxxer ** 3s=0 2s=6 1s=7 rating: 1.5
