My own copy on shiny silver disc.

1990 release.

A fusion of Nyabinghi (Jamaican chants & drums, used in tribal spiritual services), and Dub, with numerous samples of devotional vocals from around the globe.

A little like a spiritual version of what Moby did on Play.

Great album that's close to being unique.

AllMusic 4+/5 stars.

So soothing to me, love to hear her voice.

I was 9 when she died. My mother cried for a week. I still have all of the album my mom collected.

2nd collaboration for these UK Folk artists. 2011 release.

Borrowed from Robbie.

June Tabor is a top UK Folkie, while the Oysterband are a Folk band originating about 30 miles from me, in Whitstable.

This is a Folk album through & through, although they're not averse to Rocking things up a bit. I'd say there's about a 50/50 split between energetic Folk songs, and haunting, spare ballads.

All concerned demonstrate considerable conviction on this, and there's a little bit of magic about it...

Recommended.

i-Pod listening in the garden this PM.

Ms Lang's third album, from 1988.

This must be her most authentic Coutry release, made in Nashville with Owen Bradley, and featuring Brenda Lee, Kitty Wells, and Loretta Lynn sharing the vocals on the album closer.

Her voice is as beautiful as ever, and more than a match for some of the great covers included.

Fine album.

I agree SteveO.
Not usually big on covers of my idol, but in this case it blew me away.
