Watched 'Gravity' last night. Pure crap. Wonderful panoramic effects of what it is like in space, but as for acting, plot etc. it just sucks. I like Sandra Bullock but this has to be her worst performance ever. (yeah I know she was nominated for an Oscar but what I want to know is why?)

No I haven't seen The Conjuring! Thanks for the recommendation. Reb!
rebelgirl Wrote:Steve have you seen The Conjuring? Horror movies don't usually scare me but this one did. One thing I thought was stupid and uncalled for though was that during the exorcism a man was using God's name in vain. We don't do that to get rid of a Demon. That was dumb!!

The Conjuring grossed about 318 million dollars. It was a big sucess at the movies. The characters
Ed and Lorraine Warren are real people who work with the paranormal. They were involved in the Amityville Horror. So, in a way it was based on somewhat of a true story. I'm going to watch it again.

BTW, I didn't even like the previews of Gravity. So, I'm looking to be bored pretty quick. I like Sandra Bullock too. Probably why she was nominated for a Oscar, a lot of people like her and she has made some good films.

Watched 'The Counsellor' last night. Not bad but not brilliant either. About the drug trade across the Mexico/USA border. Cameron Diaz was quite good in this.

Also saw 'The English Teacher' which was quite funny and well worth a whirl.
