New Release albums for 2017:
#41
UK "new releases" for week commencing 13th April:

Among this week's new album releases is Tinie Tempah's third studio record Youth. The collection follows 2013's Demonstration and already includes a string of hit singles: Not Letting Go with Jess Glynne, Girls Like ft. Zara Larsson and Text From My Ex with Tinashe.Fear not, there are plenty of male guests on the album too; MNEK, Kid Ink and Jake Bugg(!) also make appearances.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar will no doubt have his eye on the Official Albums Chart top spot with his highly anticipated fourth album Damn. The record arrives two years after the chart-topping To Pimp A Butterfly and counts Rihanna and U2 amongst its eclectic guest features.

On the singles front, DNCE have teamed up with Nicki Minaj for their brand new release Kissing Strangers (check out our first listen review here), while rockers Linkin Park put out their much talked about collaboration with Stormzy and Pusha T, called Good Goodbye. You may remember the band hooked up with Jay Z on 2003's Numb.
Elsewhere, Brighton rock duo Royal Blood make their long-awaited return with Lights Out, the trailer for their second album, and The Voice winner Mo has released his winner's EP, called Globetrotter.
All will be hoping to make a big impact on the Official Chart on Friday, April 21. In the meantime, check out the UK's Official Top 40 biggest songs of the year so far.

UK new releases for week commencing 27th April:

A huge #NewMusicFriday for singles this week with new tracks being made available from Katy Perry, HAIM, Kygo & Ellie Goulding, and more.Kicking off with Katy Perry, KP releases Bon Appetit this week, the second cut from her upcoming fourth studio album. The LP’s sophomore track is also the second to have a featured act, with Migos taking the collaboration reins this time around. Previous single Chained To The Rhythm featuring Skip Marley peaked at Number 5 on the Official Singles Chart.
HAIM have teased the first material from their new album Something To Tell You which drops July 7. While the first official single arrives next week, sisters Este, Danielle and Alana have dropped Right Now, a live studio track as a teaser to whet fans’ appetites.

Kygo & Ellie Goulding are tag teaming with First Time, the follow-up to the Norwegian DJ’s Top 10 smash It Ain’t Me, and OneRepublic return with their new single No Vacancy; a brand new track, No Vacancy does not feature on the group’s latest studio album Oh My My.
There are further new #NewMusicFriday releases from Imagine Dragons, Blondie, Foster The People, Hailee Steinfeld, The Vamps & Martin Jensen, and DJ Khaled’s mammoth collab with Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne.
Looking to impact the Official Albums Chart this week are Gorillaz, whose fifth studio album Humanz receives its long-awaited release. Featuring an eclectic mix of collaborators including Grace Jones, Rag’n’Bone Man, Noel Gallagher and Carly Simon, the LP will give the likes of Ed Sheeran, Steps and more a run for their money.
Other acts releasing new studio records this week include New Found Glory, Lea Michele, Feist and Willie Nelson.

new releases in the UK for week commencing 4th May:

The UK is filled to the brim with singles this week, including Niall Horan's smooth new track Slow Hands. The grittier and sexier jam from the former One Direction star is his second solo release and his most bold yet. Will those Slow Hands climb the Official Singles Chart's rungs all the way to the top spot?
Further new singles come from HAIM, who release Want You Back, the official lead single from their second album Something To Tell You, Halsey who drops Eyes Closed, and Jonas Blue, who we know has a track out, we're just not sure on the name yet - he's a secretive chap!
Tracks released earlier in the week from Paramore, Harry Styles, Nothing But Thieves and PVRIS are more new songs you need to get your ears into, and the likes of Galantis, LCD Soundsystem, and Little Mix/The Chainsmokers' songwriter Emily Warren all dish out new tunes.
There are several huge contenders for next Friday's Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, the first being Kasabian. The Leicester rockers put out their sixth studio album For Crying Out Loud and you could say the pressure is on; their last four studio albums have all reached No.1 - will that consecutive streak extend?
Music legends Blondie deliver a brilliant album in Pollinator - their eleventh studio record in total - and acclaimed musician LP releases her first international *ahem* LP. Real name Laura Pergolizzi, the American has created waves across Europe with her successful single Lost On You.

new releases in the UK for week commencing 11th May:

There's loads of fresh music to get stuck into in this week's #NewMusicFriday releases.Heading up the album releases is Harry Styles' self-titled debut album, which arrives off the back of his Number 1 single Sign Of The Times. Harry is the second former One Direction member to release a solo album - the first was Zayn's Mind Of Mine, which topped the charts last April.
Harry's got some stiff competition by the way of Paramore, who release their fifth album After Laughter this week. The band have two chart-topping collections to their name: can they make it a trio on next week's Official Chart? While we wait to find out, check out the band's 10 best-selling singles here.
Elsewhere, US punk duo PWR BTTM release their new album Pageant, and rapper Machine Gun Kelly puts out his debut album Bloom.
On the singles front, Miley Cyrus makes her long-awaited return with Malibu - her first proper single release since 2013's Adore You. The track heads up her sixth studio album, which follows later this year.
Elsewhere, Calvin Harris teams up with rapper Future and singer-songwriter Khalid for the latest cut from his upcoming album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, called Rollin, while D&B DJ Sub Focus has collaborated with rising star Alma on Don't You Feel It.
Oh, and 1D star Liam Payne is releasing something tomorrow, but we're not entirely sure what yet. All will be revealed very soon...
