Reviewed this awhile back in the Rap listening to thread after listening to it online and wasn't crazy about it. Since then that Empire State Of Mind featuring Alicia Keyes has bored itself into my brain. Saw the album on sale and impulse buying took over.

I bought a cd from a band I'd never heard before, who impressed me at a House of Blues show (I was there randomly on a date so I didn't know who was playing). The name of the band is Nothing Yet, and I actually have no idea what the album was called! They had 3 CDs for sale so I bought the latest one. Actually, I haven't even opened it yet. Soon....

I can relate. There was a time when I managed a retail record store. Practically everything that was released, we received promo copies for. During that time I probably bought less music than anytime in my life, yet accumulated more. Those were the days my friend. I knew they'd someday end.

I've just had an unexpected salary bonus, so Amazon will now be furnishing me with a lovely copy of the Grateful Dead Complete Winterland '73 Concerts CD box set (plus a few others, including the new Avett Bros disc, Ed !!)

This may sound crazy to some but I don't really make many digital music purchases. I still love my CD and vinyl and that's where my music money goes (unless you count going to shows... and why wouldn't you?).

Anyway, I make fairly regular purchases. The last weekend saw me grabbing up a number of prior releases that I had never really gotten around to up until this point. I hope that I actually end up liking some of them once they get some play. :wink:
